Col Henry has tirelessly worked as a Sculptor for four decades. Since June 2007, he has been involved in the following activities.
1. Solo Sculpture Show of 50 new and innovative ‘GOSSAMER SERIES’ Sculptures at Galeria Aniela in Kangaroo Valley, June - September 2007.
2. Opening / Release for BMW Australia, Gosford. - New Series X5, 30 July 2007.
3. Selected to exhibited in the prestigious Gosford Regional Gallery ‘Gosford Art Prize’, 4 August – 28 September 2007.
4. The 12th Annual Thursday Plantation Sculpture Show in Ballina. 30 September 2007 - 31 January 2008. There where 59 stunning new Sculpture works on exhibition from all over Australia.
5. ‘Sculpture by the Lake’, Wallarah Peninsula, Murray’s Beach on Lake Macquarie, 29 September – October 2007. Seven Sculptors displayed their latest works. The exhibition featured the ethereal works of Col Henry’s acclaimed ICEMEN and the RESTING SPIRIT, and his images of ‘ICEMEN’ were used for extensive advertising .
6. ‘Sculpture in the Vineyards’, Hunter Valley. There were at least 60 large-scale outdoor sculptures along the Wollombi Valley wine trail in four venues. Anthony Bond, Director of Curatorial Services at The Art Gallery of New South Wales and Anne Graham, Artist and Head of School of Fine Arts, Faculty of Arts and Education at the University of Newcastle delivered the joint opening address at the Official Opening at 5pm, 20 October – 7 December 2007. Once again, images of Col Henrys’ Sculptures were used to advertise the exhibition.
7. Continuing to exhibit in Maree Mizon Gallery, Woolahrah, from November 2008.
8. Montalto Sculpture Prize. Selected to exhibit from a record number of entries, 17 February – 27 April 2008.
9. Accepted to exhibit ‘University Western Sydney Sculpture Award and Exhibition’ which has many selection criteria including – “originality and the expression of creative and expressive ideas”, 2 May – 1 June 2008. His works were described as “the most immediately interactive work in the exhibition” and received high praise.
10. Three separate large Stainless Steel Public Sculptures installed at Waterford near the Gold Coast in a large Public Park.
11. Some of these events have been reported in the print media, including two interviews on ABC radio. Sculptures where featured on Channel Nine Home Show.
12. Works are currently being shown in three outdoor venues in the Greater Hunter Region, and Galleries Kangaroo Valley Gosford and Sydney.
13. Invited to exhibit again in the Wyong Festival of the Arts as a guest Sculptor, 14 – 30 March 2008.
14. Winner of Maitland City Sculpture Prize, judged by the Director of the highly acclaimed 460 Gallery- now Borg Galleries. “The work stood out as outstanding sculpture and had a great presence”, 8 – 18 February 2008.
15. Winner of Peoples Choice - Maitland City Sculpture Prize, 18 February 2008.
16. Short Listed for a large Public Stainless Steel Sculpture. North Sydney Council, 19 February 2008. Col Henry’s sculpture Tree of Life received the highest-ranking and Council’s Arts Officers are recommending his work for the Berry and Miller Street site.
17. Exhibitor in the Lake Light Sculpture Exhibition, Jindabyne, 20 – 24 March 2008.
18. Solo Sculpture Exhibition of “new and innovative” works, Cookshill Gallery Newcastle, 7 – 24 March 2008
19. Invited Artist, with Euon McCloud and other Archibald Winners, Sydney College of the Arts Exhibition, Food, Water, Shelter, Charity Event, 14 – 17 March 2008.
20. Awarded a rare ‘Highly Commended’ in the Wyong Festival of the Arts Sculpture Prize, represented by thirty well known sculptors, 14 March 2008.
21. Winner of the ‘Perisher Blue Sculpture Prize’ amongst 50 entrants in the Lake Light Sculpture Prize Jindabyne, 21 March 2008. The organizers also used Col Henrys images to advertise and promote the exhibition.
22. Requested by Stephen Porges, CEO Newcastle Permanent Building Society, to investigate, and supply and rectify sculptural problems associated with Major Public Fountain installed at Head Office, Newcastle, April 2008.
23. Invited to Demonstrate and Speak about Recent Sculptures, Newcastle Show, 10 – 13 April 2008
24. Currently negotiating with three other NSW Councils, regarding large Public Sculpture Commissions, and negotiating for several other National Sculpture Exhibitions installations.
25. Invite to exhibit ‘Sculpture by the Brook 2008’, in the extensive gardens of Fernbrook Gallery and Garden, 3 – 31 May 2008 with 14 other well known sculptors.
26. Commissioned to exhibit five flying ‘Spirits’ suspended from the high ceiling in the expansive foyer of Gosfords Town Centre Shopping Centre, from 1.5.08.
27. Interviewed by ABC 92.5 Arts Show 9.5.08, with questions about his recent sculptures.
28. Exhibit in Who Art Thou Gallery, 1.5.08.
29. Short Listed for ‘Sea Stories Sculpture’, Osborne Park, Wollongong 12 May 2008. A significant Stainless Steel public artwork to be installed on the Wollongong foreshore for Wollongong Council.
30. Invited to exhibit at the Riverview Art Exhibition, 23 May 2008.
31. Invited Guest Sculptor , Five Lands Festival, 21 June 2008
32. Invited to exhibit for the forth year running in the prestigious ‘Sculpture in the Vines’ Exhibition, Hunter Valley, September 2008.
33. Final negotiations to exhibit as an ‘Artist in Residence’ and exhibitor in Headlands Sculpture on the Gulf, Waiheke Island, New Zealand, 23 January – 15 February 2009. New Zealand’s most exciting Sculptors and invited overseas Sculptors, taking visitors for a stunning experience on the coastline of beautiful Waikheke Island, Auckland.
34. Listed for a possible Public Sculpture for Greater Taree City Council, in Wingham, while public fund raising is continuing, May 2008. It was noted that “the submissions were very worthy designs”.
35. Invited Sculptor to exhibit in Meyer Gallery, Darlinghurst, May 2008.
36. Commissioned artist / sculptor for Flametree Gallery, Landscape Designs, Rose Bay. May 2008.
37. Short Listed for a large Public Sculpture in the waterfront Osbourne Park, Woolongong City Council, May 2008.
38. Announced ‘Peoples Choice Winner’ at the prestigious University of Western Sydney Acquisition Sculpture Prize, June 2008
39. Invited / Long Listed for consideration to design and install a large Public Sculpture for Maitland City Arts Centre. June 2008
40. Invited by Gosford Regional Gallery to exhibit in ‘Sense of Place’ opening 25 July 2008.
41. Chosen to exhibit in Yering Station Sculpture Exhibition and Awards, 14 October till mid December 2008. The Selection Panel were The Curator, La Trobe University Collection, Curator of Contemporary Art, National Gallery of Victoria, and Director, Heide Museum of Modern Art.

46. Chosen with 6 other prominent sculptors to make a sculpture from a wine barrel. The work was auctioned with all proceeds donated to the Camperdown Childrens Hospitial. The works where displayed and auctioned for the Gala Event, at Capperila Vineyard in the Hunter Valley during March 2009 and was a great and financial success
47. Commissioned for a major Public Stainless Steel Sculpture for DECC and National Parks. The works are a site specific work collaborationing with local Indiginous Groups and Traditional Owners to add significance to a major stainless steel sculpture for Baradine - Dandry gorge, National Park. A fantastic opportunity with cross cultural influence and benefits. This process will be filmed by ABC TV. April 2009
